FURTHER RESOURCES

Read, read, and read

For almost all new clients, it can be scary to start a new psychotherapeutic relationship. There is a great deal of willingness, vulnerability and commitment involved. For women facing and experiencing mental and emotional issues, it can be extremely beneficial to do further reading on their particular concerns or to seek the support of other women who have similar experiences. For women who are new to therapy, there are some things to know to help get the most from therapy sessions. This information can help a woman prepare for a first visit, answer questions about therapy, and potentially ease any anxieties about beginning therapy. Looking at online resources, chat groups, blogs, e-books, or the good old fashion best read ever - a hard cover. We can not stress enough that women provide themselves with education, thus acquiring tools and strategies useful in helping them cope and work towards their change and develop at a more successful and faster rate.
